Lipizzan Stallions Returning to Lincoln Labor Day Weekend

After nearly a decade since their last performance in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Lincoln Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzan Stallions show to Lincoln. These magnificent animals performed annually in Lincoln many years ago and are now on their way back, by popular demand to perform at the local Kancamagus Recreation facility over Labor Day weekend.

Show’s that drew hundreds of local residents and tourists alike were performed long ago on the property of the old Franconia Mill site in the heart of Lincoln. The shows were acclaimed by spectators who were amazed at the talent of the horses and by the mastery of their trainers. “I’ve been approached many times by locals and repeat guests asking about the Lipizzan Stallion show, so I decided to make the effort to bring them back,” comments the Lincoln Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Mark LaClair. “It was very clear to me that these horses and their performances were a huge draw to this area and a fantastic family friendly annual event,” adds LaClair.

The Labor Day weekend performances will take place in a new facility, at the Kancamagus Recreation Center, locally referred to as the “Kanc. Rec. Center” just off Main Street in Lincoln. Performances will begin at 2pm and 5:30pm on both Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th, 2010. General admission tickets are available for purchase in advance for $10 (adults), $6 (children) and $12 (adults), $8 (children) at the door. “The Kanc Rec Center is an ideal location for a show like this because of the natural amphitheater created by the ski hill,” says LaClair, “and there’s not a bad seat in the house.

”Children of all ages have come to love the Hermann’s Royal Lipizzan Stallion show over the years. Now, they will have the opportunity to meet the horses and watch them perform again in a beautiful mountain setting.
