Thrillsville Aerial Park grows & adds Bungy Leap.
Our "Thrillsville" high ropes adventure (located right at our 45 Main Street location) has received a major expansion for 2011...adding a climbing tower, new ziplines and several additional challenge elements, including cargo nets, swinging bridges and a "sky skateboard" among others. The 4 person EuroBungy Trampoline is also a family favorite and a blast for little kids as well as adults. Thrillsville is a great addition to your Zipline or Off-Road Safari tour, or if you're looking for a quick adrenaline boost the whole family can do together, ages 5 and up. White Mountains Attractions Open for the Season with New Rides

NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH - With the fast approach of summer in New Hampshire's White Mountains, the region's attractions are opening for the season and visitors will find some new reasons to return to their favorite parks.


From new rides, new ways to ride and even new ways to "hang around," vacationers heading north to the mountains will find new adventures awaiting them.
"The White Mountains have been a destination for generations of families and our many attractions realize this," said Jayne O'Connor, president of White Mountains Attractions. "This year's investment represents hundreds of thousands of dollars to add new experiences at our theme parks that can be enjoyed for new generations."


Among the new rides this year include:


- Splash Battle Pharaoh's Reign at Story Land in Glen, the first new ride at the park since 2006. Set to open in June, this river adventure features a 4-person watercraft, each equipped with a water cannon that can be aimed at other boats and toward spectators on shore. Those land-lubbers will also have a chance to blast water back.


- On the heels of last year's opening of the Ho-Ho-H2O watermark, Santa's Village in Jefferson opens a new ride this season, Santa's Chimney Drop.


- Loon Mountain in Lincoln will offer 3-hour guided Segway tours. Following an orientation, riders will glider along the bike path and River Walk, all while learning about the rich history and logging heritage of Lincoln, before returning to Loon.


- For the visitor who likes to "hang around," Alpine Adventures in Lincoln has just the ticket. The third and largest Zipline course, the Super SkyRider, will combine newer, faster and higher lines. Thrillsville, the aerial adventure park on Main Street in Lincoln, is undergoing an expansion that will triple its size and a 4-person bungee-trampoline has also been added.


- Cannon Mountain, in Franconia Notch State Park, now has bike rentals available at the base of the Tramway, giving cyclists direct access to the 8.8-mile recreation path winding through the notch. A shuttle service will be available so that guests can ride from the tram to the Flume Gorge and return via shuttle.


- Just a few months after opening it's mountain coaster last winter, Cranmore Mountain is kicking off the summer season with the opening of its Adventure Park. Ropes courses, zip lines and air bridges are waiting for visitors to conquer.


- Attitash Mountain Resort's Nor'Easter Mountain Coaster, opened late last year, and with its banked turns, dips and straightaways, it offers a thrilling and scenic ride for all ages.


- Aboard Conway Scenic Railroad's Notch Train, a new first class package, featuring seating in first class, a 3 course luncheon on the Hattie Evans car, beverage service and complimentary snacks are offered this summer.


- For hikers, the Appalachian Mountain Club will offer hiker shuttles connecting with Concord Coach Lines in Lincoln and North Conway. The AMC's historic Madison Spring hut opens June 2, following a rebuilding project and the organization is offering a variety of children and family friendly amenities and activities at its lodges and mountain huts.


- The Whale's Tale in Lincoln opens eight new cabanas around the park, featuring lounge chairs, cocktail table and lunch table, and privacy.


- The Rocks Estate in Bethlehem opens the New Hampshire Maple Experience for guests to learn about the art of maple sugaring, featuring a virtual sugarhouse and interactive maple museum.


- Canterbury Shaker Village offers a cooking series every fourth Thursday of month, featuring lessons by well-known culinary experts.
- The first new trail opens at Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves in North Woodstock, giving visitors a look at a vernal pool, old growth trees and a remarkable pothole that shows just how high the water once was in Kinsman Notch.


White Mountains Attractions Association, founded in 1958, is the official marketing association for the region and its 16 attractions, including Attitash, Cannon Mountain, Clark’s Trading Post, the Mount Washington Cog Railroad, the Conway Scenic Railroad, Flume Gorge, the Hobo Railroad, Loon Mountain, Lost River Gorge, Mount Washington Auto Road, Polar Caves, Santa’s Village, Six Gun City, Story Land, Whale’s Tale and Wildcat Mountain.

Attitash Mountain Coaster New in 2011

The Nor'Easter Mountain Coaster
Enjoy the most sought after thrill ride in New Hampshire, the Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster, an exhilarating and scenic ride for all ages.

Imagine the heart pounding excitement as you ride straight up the face of Attitash Mountain, enjoying the spectacular views of the White Mountains before flying down a 2,880-foot ride in the forested mountain terrain, through banked curves, dips and a vertical drop of over 300 feet, all in two-person sleds on stainless steel rails where the speed is completely rider-controlled.

Young or old, you can set your own pace at speeds up to 25 miles per hour and enjoy a fun and unique ride unlike any other!

Requirements: Children must be at least 3 years of age to go on the ride. Riders must be at least 9 years old to ride alone. Riders must be 52"+ to ride alone. To ride double, at least one rider must be 16 years old. There is a maximum combined rider weight of 350 pounds.

Hours of Operation
The Mountain Coaster is a year-round attraction, and hours of operation vary season to season. The Mountain Coaster operates weekends and vacation weeks only in the winter, while the summer/fall schedule varies. See our Hours and Dates page to view the operation schedule for Summer 2011.

Lost River Opens with added Boardwalk

Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves is now open for the 2011 season! Come visit us rain or shine - the waterfalls are spectacular and the river is rushing!

We're debuting a new section of boardwalk that takes you high above the river and offers views into the gorge and beyond. As you venture upward, see what an old growth tree looks like and discover a granite pothole created long ago by the whirl pool action of the raging river. Check out the vernal pool at the base of the pothole; you’ll find a variety of flora surviving here including ferns and mosses. You’re not going to want to miss this opportunity to explore more of the natural beauty and ecology Lost River Gorge has to offer! What's new at Ski NH Summer Resorts

NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH, MAY 2011- For many years, summers were quiet in comparison to winter at NH's ski areas. Those days are a thing of the past with a wide variety of fun activities available. Over the past several years ski areas across the Granite State have taken advantage of their scenic locations and added all types of new activities to attract guests. Among the newest additions are zip lines, canopy tours, mountain coasters and more.

Gunstock, Gilford
This summer Gunstock will unveil three major attractions. The Aerial Treetops Adventure Course aka ATAZip consists of 12 zip lines, 22 ladders, and 91 course challenges spread over 8 courses. Mountain Segway tours will also be available utilizing the new Segway X2 and covering over 50 miles of trails. The ZipTour will offer 8 different zip lines including the longest zip lines in the continental United States. Guests can descend at up to 56 mph or take a more leisurely pace to enjoy the views. The campground was also expanded featuring sites perfect for a tent or RV, as well as on-site restrooms, hot showers, playgrounds, a swimming pool and propane filling station.

Bretton Woods, Bretton Woods
The year-round Bretton Woods Canopy Tour was constructed last year and is a guided 3-hour adventure through platforms connected by nine zip-lines, two sky bridges and three rappels, descending a total of 1,000 feet. The Williwaw Racing Zip is the final leg of the Canopy Tour and is also available for individual zip rides allowing two participants to race each other. Two new activities are being introduced this summer, the all-new West Wall Climb and indoor Slopeside Climbing Wall. The West Wall Climb is a guided climb on the south facing cliffs of Mt. Oscar, previous climbing experience is not required. The new Slopeside Climbing Wall is a year-round indoor climbing experience located in the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Other recent additions include lift-serviced mountain-biking, scenic lift rides and disc golf.


Cranmore, North Conway
Located in downtown North Conway, Cranmore is an ideal location for summer fun. Last summer $6 million was spent on new attractions including the Mountain Coaster that twists and turns down the mountain at driver controlled speeds. This summer guests will find the brand new Cranmore Adventure Park featuring a Giant Swing that up to 4 people can ride on at once, Summer Tubing that runs 400ft top to bottom, Penguin Mini Golf, Four Plex Trampoline, Spyder Mountain for kids to climb up and slide down, 18 hole disc golf course, and Bouncy Houses. The Aerial Adventure Course consists of a ropes course, zip-lines, and air bridges. Guests can also take Scenic Chairlift Rides and hike at the summit.

Attitash, Bartlett
New for last summer was the Nor'Easter Mountain Coaster. The Nor'easter brings guests up 1,430 ft before descending on a thrilling 2,880 ft ride down through the mountain terrain. The ride includes banked turns, dips and straight-aways at rider-controlled speeds of up to 26 mph. Other recent additions include lift-serviced mountain biking, a 24' climbing wall, and the EuroBungy Trampoline.

Wildcat Mountain, Pinkham Notch
Fly Wildcat on the recently installed ZipRider, one of New Hampshire's more unique thrill rides offering exhilarating and beautiful views. Now with four cables, the half-mile ZipRider has doubled in capacity. Some weight/height ride restrictions apply to ride the ZipRider zip-line cable ride. Guests can also take the lift to the summit and play a round on the new, 9-hole lift serviced alpine disc golf course.

Loon Mountain, Lincoln
Last summer Loon opened a zip line that crosses the Pemigewasset River. Located at the base of the mountain, guests fly through the air across the river, once at the other side they get to enjoy the ride back on the other zip line.

Cannon Mountain, Franconia Notch
Cannon Mountain is located in Franconia Notch, home to one of the state's most popular and scenic bike paths. In the past guests had to bring along their own bikes. This year Cannon will now offer bike rentals out of the Tram Base Area.

Waterville Valley, Waterville Valley
Guests to Waterville Valley have enjoyed bike riding for decades, new for this summer are road bike rentals in addition to the existing fleet of mountain bikes.
