Activities August 20 to 28, 2010

Friday, August 20th, 2010
9:00AM Junior Tennis Clinic ($15 per person ages 5-15)

Sign up for a tennis lesson with our tennis pro Hayden Roma. This is a junior lesson for ages 5-15, the clinic will run aprox. 1 hour and will work to increase confidence, skills, and knowledge to improve their overall tennis game.
9:30AM Franconia Notch Trip ($22 per adult $16 per child 6-12) (Fee covers admission to Gorge and ride on Aerial Tram)
Join Steve as he heads over to the famous Franconia Notch. We will start at the Flume Gorge. The gorge itself is 800 ft long, with 60-90 foot tall walls. The hike itself is 2 miles roundtrip, along with the gorge you will see 2 covered bridges, about 5 waterfalls, and lots of beautiful scenery! After that we will head to Cannon Mtn. and ride the aerial tram to the top, where you can eat lunch, and hike around the rim trail, seeing views of all the Notch, and on a clear day, you can see 4 states, and sometimes into Canada!
5:00PM Adult Tennis Clinic ($25 per person ages 16 and up)
Join our tennis pro Hayden Roma for an adult tennis clinic. This clinic will run aprox.1 hour and will work to increase confidence, skills, and knowledge to improve their overall tennis game.
8:00PM Teen Movie Night — (FREE EVENT)
Come down to the lobby in your pj’s with blankets and pillows to watch a movie. This movie night will be geared towards teens and young adults, so we will show a PG 13 movie or something similar.

9:30AM Hike Sabbaday Falls and Rocky Gorge ($5 per person)
Join Eric as he heads over the Kanc to Sabbaday Falls and Rocky Gorge. Sabbaday Falls is a short .6 mile round trip hike to a beautiful 3 tiered waterfall. Also he will head to Rocky Gorge which is just up the road from Sabbaday Falls. At Rocky Gorge there is a small gorge and a beautiful mirror pond. The walk at Rocky Gorge is also short and easily accessible, to see a powerful waterfall and amazing views.
2:00PM Wii Games (FREE)
Come down to the Fun Factory at Pollard Brook where you will join Steve to play some Nintendo Wii! This is a great chance for anyone, any age to show off their Wii skills! Limit to 8 people due to time.
7:00PM Half Moon Jewlery Design ($11-$16 per necklace depending on size) (Earring sets also available $5-$14)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make your own jewelry with Half Moon Jewelry Design owner Joyce Schwartz. She will provide the kits and guide you through the process of making your own jewelry! Event will run from 7-8pm and is a great craft for all ages!
7:00PM Moose Tour ($23 Adults - $16 Children 12 and under)
Come along for a ride on the famous Moose Tour Bus! This 3 hour tour will take you all over northern New Hampshire looking for MOOSE! But this is no ordinary bus ride, filled with bubble machines, strobe lights, and many other fun things to make the ride that much more fun! There is no guarantee you will see moose, but this is your best chance!!

9:00AM Day Break Update at Pollard Brook (FREE EVENT)
Join our Adventure Concierge for a fun and informational gathering where we will update you on all of our activities, local events and answer any questions you may have! Complimentary donuts and juice!
10:30AM Air Hockey Tournament (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve down in the Game Room for an Air Hockey Tournament. All ages are welcome to join, and games will be decided on an age appropriate basis.
12:30AM Hike the Falling Waters Trail (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve on an intermediate hike up the Falling Waters Trail. This moderate trail opposite the Lafayette Campground goes up to 3 different waterfalls. Stair Falls and Swiftwater Falls appear after about a mile, and then the beautiful Cloudland Falls after 1.5 miles. We will only go to the Cloudland Falls if the entire group agrees, there is one steep section of the trail. At the minimum this will be a 2 mile hike, max. will be 3 miles.
5:00PM Bingo (Entry fee: 1$ per card)
Event will be held in the Fun Factory at Pollard Brook. One dollar per card is required as an entry fee. Bring the entire family, but don’t miss out on all the fun! This is the chance to show us your skills.
8:00PM Smores by the Campfire (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve down at the fire pit to make some delicious smores. We will have the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers, as well as the sticks to roast with

8:00am Water Mix Aerobics @ Pollard Brook Pool ($5 per person)
Professional water aerobics instructor, Stacee Caulder will lead guests in a 1-hour session at the resort. Stacee will lead guests who are 18 years or older in a high energy water exercise she calls Aqua-Mix Aerobics. The class can accommodate the first 12 people who sign up. The class will be held in the indoor pool at Pollard which will be open exclusively for this class. Participants need not be able to swim but must feel comfortable in the water. A fee of $5 per session will be charged and can be charged to the guest’s unit.

9:15AM Hike Arethusa Falls ($5 per person) (Moderate to Intermediate hike)
Arethusa Falls is the highest single waterfall drop in the state of NH. It has been recorded as being anywhere from 140ft high to over 200 ft high. Either way this is an amazing waterfall! There are 2 smaller waterfalls on the way to the big show, Bemis Brook Falls and Coliseum Falls, although not as spectacular as Arethusa, these are sure to delight. This is a 2.6 mile round trip hike that should take about 2 to 3 hours.
3:00PM Fadden's Sugar House and General Store (Free Event) (Pick up @ both Resorts)
We will head over to North Woodstock and meet with the Fadden Family and see how they make Maple Syrup. You will be able to ob serve the process in the modern facility as well as see an example of the way it was done in the good ole days.
5:00PM Summer BBQ ($10 per adult (13+) $5 per child (6-12) under 6 is free - $25 per Family of 4)
Come down to the outdoor pool patio and enjoy our great summer BBQ. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, potato salad, pasta salad, chips, watermelon, and something to drink! This is all you can eat, so bring your appetites!
6:15PM COG Railway Movie
Going for a ride on the Cog Railway on Wednesday? Well stop down in the lobby to find out what the railway is all about, learn about the history, and what it took for the Railway to become a reality.
8:00PM Children’s Movie Night — (FREE EVENT)
Come down to the lobby in your pj’s with blankets and pillows to watch a movie the whole family can enjoy. We will provide popcorn, so make sure to bring a drink

Join our Yoga professional Sue Murphy in the sales room for a beginner yoga class. This class can cater to the experienced to the first timers.

9:15AM COG Railway ($45 per person CASH ONLY—CARAVAN ONLY)
Join the activities team as we head up to the famous Cog Railway. This railway chugs up the side of Mt. Washington all the way to the top where you can experience “the world’s worst weather” At the top you will get magnificent views on a nice day, and at the very least, you will get to stand on the tallest mountain in the northeast.

Join the Recreational staff in the Fun Factory were you will be making sand art!
3:00PM Tie Dye T-shirts ($5 per shirt—Free if you have your own)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make a tie dye t-shirt. We have shirts of all sizes, but your welcome to bring your own. We will have 3 different colors to create your tie dye masterpiece!
5:00PM Smores by the Campfire (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve and Eric up at the fire pit for an hour of making smores! We will have roasting sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate for anyone who would like to join us in making this delicious campfire treat.

9:30AM Hike The Basin and Cascade Falls
Join Eric as he heads up to the Franconia Notch to hike through the Basin, and up the Cascade Falls! The basin is a very popular small waterfall/rock formation. A bit further on from that there is the Cascade Falls, which are a series of waterfalls, cascading down the rocks. This is a very beautiful area, be sure to bring your camera, and please NO OPEN TOED SHOES!
2:00PM Decoupage Plates ($3 per plate)
Come down to the Fun Factory, and be sure to bring your vacation photos, to make a commemorative plate! You will decoupage your pictures on to the back of a glass plate, so that your vacation at InnSeasons will never be forgotten.
4:00PM Ice Cream Social ($3 per bowl)
Come down to the deck outside the main lobby for an ice cream social. We will have different kinds of ice cream, and almost everything you can think of for toppings!

Join Joyce Schwartz in the Fun Factory to make your own earrings! This class is for those who have prior jewelry/bead experience. She will have the earring kits and beads for you, and will help guide you on the process of creating your own earrings!
7:00PM Flume Gorge Movie
Come down to the lobby and learn about the famous Flume Gorge. One of the natural beauties of the White Mountains, we will hike the gorge Friday morning, so this is a good change to get acquainted with the area and learn what you can, see if you can stump Steve!
