Hurricane Irene Updates Labor Day Weekend

Town of Lincoln NH
We have good news! This morning Governor Lynch and NHDOT representatives met with Town officials, Loon Mountain management, and utility companies at Loon Mountain Bridge. Temporary utility services are being installed now. Governor Lynch and NHDOT officials are working with the Town to investigate temporary bridge options for the upcoming Highland Games and foliage season. State crews are also rushing to complete repairs on the Kanc so it can be reopened for foliage season!

Hobo Railroad
Good Morning Railroad Fans! Well, work continues along the rail line again today. "Yeah Crew!". The plan is to have all the wash outs between Lincoln and Swimming Hole Bridge repaired by tomorrow to allow us to run one hour rides out of our Lincoln location this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

White Mountain National Forest
For information about campgrounds and trail conditions in the national forest, please be sure to check this webpage or call 603-536-6100 for the latest information ... The Kanc is open to the Discovery Trail (past Lincoln Woods) from the Lincoln side and from Route 16 to Bear Notch Road from Conway. The goal to open the entire length of the Kanc is Sept. 15.



Kancamagus Highway

The Kanc is closed beyond the Discovery Trailhead to Bear Notch Road in Albany.

Route 302/Crawford Notch

Route 302 is closed from Craford Notch to Bear Notch Road.
