Activities for April 16 - 24, 2010

Friday, April 16th, 2010
9:30AM Hike the Basin, Cascade Falls, Kinsman Falls ($5 per person kids under 8 FREE)
Join Steve on a hike to one of the many beautiful sites in the Franconia Notch. The basin is a small waterfall/rock formation also called the “Old Man on the Mountain’s Foot”. From there we will follow the trail alongside what are called Cascade Falls, about half a mile from the start we will run into Kinsman Falls, if everyone is up to the challenge, we will continue from there to Rocky Glen Falls, which is a mile from the start point.
1:00PM Wii Games (FREE EVENT)
Come on down to the Fun Factory to join Steve as you will be playing Wii Bowling! This is a great game for anyone any age to come and show off their skills! Limit to 8 people due to time.
2:30PM Build and Paint your own Birdhouse ($5 per birdhouse)
Come down to the Fun Factory to build your very own birdhouse. Everyone will get a kit to build the bird house themselves, and Steve will be there to guide you along in the process. Once they are built you will have an opportunity to paint it any way you’d like.

9:30AM Georgiana Falls (FREE EVENT)
Come along with Steve as we hike up to Georgiana Falls. This is a 2 mile round trip hike, which does involve some uphill climbing. The falls are 3 sets of waterfalls, the first is a large wide fall where the water cascades down the rocks, the second is a rock wall that the water falls into a pool at the bottom, and the third is a narrow waterfall (looks like a waterslide) that empties into a pool. This is a very scenic trip, be sure to bring your camera!
1:00PM Wii Games
Join Steve in the Fun Factory to play our Nintendo Wii! We will decide on what game to play when everyone arrives. Limit to 8 people due to time.
2:00PM Sand Art ($2-$6 depends on the size of bottle)
Join the Recreational staff in the Fun Factory were you will be making sand art!
7:00PM Half Moon Jewlery Design ($20 per Necklace and Earring set)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make your own jewelry with Half Moon Jewelry Design owner Joyce Schwartz. She will provide the kits and guide you through the process of making your own jewelry! Event willrun from 7-8pm and is a great craft for all ages!

Monday, April 19th, 2010
9:00AM Day Break Update at Pollard Brook (FREE EVENT)
Join our Adventure Concierge for a fun and informational gathering where we will update you on all of our activities, local events and answer any questions you may have! Complimentary donuts and juice!
10:30AM Walk to Loon Mountain (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve on a scenic walk over to Loon Mountain. We will walk along the bike path at the bottom of the driveway across 112 and along the river until we get to the bridge at Loon Mountain. This is a 2 mile, flat, easy hike mostly going alongside the Pemi River so be sure to bring your camera!
1:00PM Design your own ceramic Piggy Bank ($3 per piggy bank)
A great opportunity for the children to be creative in designing and painting their very own piggy bank. Its never to early to teach your children how to save money! Great for all ages!
2:00PM Basketball (FREE EVENT)
Join Steve out on the basketball court for a few games of knockout, or H.O.R.S.E. - or we will just play pickup games if everyone agrees
3:00PM Wii Games (FREE)
Come down to the Fun Factory at Pollard Brook where you will join Steve to play some Nintendo Wii! This is a great chance for anyone, any age to show off their Wii skills! Limit to 8 people due to time.

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010
9:30AM Covered Bridge Tour ($5 per person)
Join Steve on a trip that will head South of Lincoln to see 4 covered bridges! We will see bridges in Woodstock, Campton, Plymouth, and Ashland. Be sure to bring your camera as most of these bridges are surrounded by beautiful scenery!.
1:00PM Wii Games (Free Event)
Come down to the Fun Factory at Pollard Brook where you will join Steve to play Nintendo Wii! This is a great chance for anyone, any age to show off their Wii skills! Limit to 8 people due to time
3:00PM Fadden's Sugar House and General Store (Free Event) (Pick up @ both Resorts)
We will head over to North Woodstock and meet with the Fadden Family and see how they make Maple Syrup. You will be able to observe the process in the modern facility as well as see an example of the way it was done in the good ole days.
5:00PM Wine & Cheese Social (FREE EVENT!)
Join your fellow resort mates for an evening of wine and cheese in a social environment! Event will run approximately 1 hour and will be held in the main lobby at InnSeason Resort Pollard Brook. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided for minors who wish to attend.
7:00PM Moose Tour ($23 Adults - $16 Children 12 and under)
Come along for a ride on the famous Moose Tour Bus! This 3 hour tour will take you all over northern New Hampshire looking for MOOSE! But this is no ordinary bus ride, filled with bubble machines, strobe lights, and many other fun things to make the ride that much more fun! There is no guarantee you will see moose, but this is your best chance!! The bus will pick up at Pollard Brook at 7PM so arrive a few minutes early and be sure to sign up because there are a limited number of seats.

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010
9:00AM Nowhere and Everywhere Tour ($10 per person in Van) ($15 per person on Bus)
Join Eric as he heads out to…who knows where? Every trip is a new adventure, but you will more likely then not see amazing waterfalls, covered bridges, scenic vistas, and many more of New Hampshire’s hidden secrets! If more then 12 people sign up we will take the Moose Tour bus and the cost will be $15.
3:00PM Ice Cream Social ($3 per bowl)
Come down to the deck outside the main lobby for an ice cream social. We will have different kinds of ice cream, and al most everything you can think of for toppings!

7:00PM Half Moon Jewlery Design ($12 per project)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make your own jewelry with Half Moon Jewelry Design owner Joyce Schwartz. She will provide the kits and guide you through the process of making your own jewelry! Event willrun from 7-8pm and is a great craft for all ages!
8:00PM Children’s Movie Night — (FREE EVENT) @ both Resorts
Come down to the lobby in your pj’s with blankets and pillows to watch a movie the whole family can enjoy. We will provide popcorn, so make sure to bring a drink

10:00AM Hike to Sabbaday Falls & Rocky Gorge($5 per person)
Join us as we head out on the Kanc over to Sabbaday Falls. Sabbaday Falls is a 3/4 mile round trip hike up to a 3 tiered waterfall!! Most of the trail is flat, except for one small hill. This is a very scenic area with a beautiful waterfall! Rocky Gorge is a smaller gorge with a good sized waterfall a few miles down the road from Sabbaday Falls. This scenic area in the Swift river is not something you want to miss!
2:00PM Caramel Apples ($1 per apple)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make your own Caramel Apples!! We will provide everything you need, this is a quick and fun activity to make a delicious treat for later!

5:00PM Weenie Roast ($1 per Hot Dog)
Come up to the fire pit to make a good old campfire hotdog! We will provide the sticks, hotdogs, and condiments, all you need is yourself!
7:00PM Bingo At Pollard Brook (Entry fee: 1$ per card)
Event will be held in the Fun Factory at Pollard Brook. One dollar per card is required as an entry fee. Bring the entire family, but don’t miss out on all the fun! This is the chance to show us your skills.
