Activities Schedule April 8 to 13, 2013


Monday, April 8th, 2013
9:00AM Day Break Update at Pollard Brook (FREE EVENT)
Join our Adventure Concierge for a fun and informational gathering where we will update you on all of our  activities, local events and answer any questions you may have! Complimentary donuts.
11:00AM 25¢ Tour of Lincoln & Woodstock Area (Free Event) (only 13 can go at a time)
Join Eric as he will show you around the Lincoln & Woodstock area.  He will show you restaurants, hiking locations, and a few other places of interest that will help you get orientated with the area. Minimum of 4 people require to do this tour.
2:00PM 25¢ Tour of Lincoln & Woodstock Area (Free Event) (only 13 can go at a time)
This is a repeat of the 11:00AM Tour.
4:45PM Brewery Tour at Woodstock Brewery (FREE EVENT) (Optional Dinner Following which you order off the menu and pay on your own) Join Eric on a special tour of the Woodstock Brewery. There will be a short demonstration and a showcase of our products. Woodstock Inn Brewery has won several national awards for its ales especially Pig's Ear Brown that has won the National Beer Tasting Championships two years in a row. A great place to take a break at the end  of a busy day and discover some award winning beers brewed right here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  Afterwards we will stay for Dinner and you can enjoy some of their beer along with dinner from their menu.  Children are welcome and can sample some of their homemade Root Beer. Minimum of 6 required for this trip.  
7:30PM Movie Night — (FREE EVENT) WARNING TONIGHTS MOVIE IS PG-13
Come down to the lobby and enjoy SkyFall  This movie is rated PG-13 We will supply the popcorn.  

Tuesday, April 9th,  2013
10:00AM Covered Bridge Tour ($10 per person up to 13 people can fit on our Bus. It is possible we could go on a bigger bus if more than 13 sign up. The cost would increase to $17 per person if this happens)
Join us as we head west of Lincoln to see a few covered bridges.  First we will stop at the Swiftwater  Covered Bridge, which is a smaller bridge with a beautiful waterfall underneath it.  After that we will head to the Haverhill-Bath Covered Bridge, which is 1 of 2 completely original bridges left in the country.  Finally we will stop at the Bath Covered Bridge, which is the longest covered bridge entirely in the state of NH.  Also at the Bath Covered Bridge is the Brick Store, America’s Oldest General Store.  If 13 or more people sign up we will travel by caravan
3:00PM Fadden's Sugar House and General Store (FREE EVENT We can fit 13 on our Bus) 
We will head over to North Woodstock and meet with the Fadden Family and see how they make Maple Syrup. You will be able to observe the process in the modern facility as well as see an example of the way it was done in the good ole days.
7:30PM Movie Night — (FREE EVENT) 
Come down to the lobby and enjoy Rise of the Guardians  We will supply the popcorn.

10:00AM Hike to Rocky Gorge($5 per person)
Join us as we head out on the Kanc over to Rocky Gorge.  Rocky Gorge is a smaller gorge with a good sized waterfall a few miles down the road from Sabbaday Falls. This scenic area in the Swift River is not something you want to miss! The trail will probably be muddy so boots or other sturdy footwear is highly recommended
3:00PM Stain a Suncatcher($4 per frame, limit of 12 participants) Capture the beauty and wonder of nature with this attractive plastic Stain-A-Frame set. Large areas and raised outlines make it easy to create a breathtaking piece to hang in the window.
7:30PM   Movie Night — (FREE EVENT) 
Come down to the lobby and enjoy the movie We Bought a Zoo  We will supply the popcorn.

Saturday, April 13th, 2013
10:00AM  Murder Mystery Weekend, Four TuTus for Two, April 13-14, presented by the Papermill Theatre and theWoodstock Inn, Station and Brewery. Will the show open? Will the actors remember their lines? Will everyone survive? (Not likely... this is a murder mystery!)  Collect clues, interview suspects and try to crack the case during this town-wide murder mystery. For more information click here.
2:00PM Hike or Snowshoe the Basin ($15 if snowshoes rented, FREE if you have your own snowshoes)
Join Eric on an easy stroll through the Basin.  The Basin itself is a small waterfall and rock formation also known as the Old Man on the Mountain’s Foot.  From there we will either hike through the “Baby Flume” or up the Basin Cascades Trail.  Both of which have very nice waterfalls and scenery.  If conditions are not ideal for snowshoeing we will just hike the trail
The trail will probably be slippery so boots or other sturdy footwear is highly recommended NO SANDALS!
6:45PM Moose Tour ($25 Adults - $16 Children 12 and under) (THIS IS TENTATIVE) Come along for a ride on the famous Moose Tour Bus! This 3 hour tour will take you all over northern New Hampshire looking for MOOSE! But this is no ordinary bus ride, filled with bubble machines, disco lights, and many other fun things to make the ride that much more fun! There is no guarantee you will see moose, but this is your best chance!! The bus will pick up at Pollard Brook at 6:45 PM so arrive a few minutes early and be sure to sign up because there are a limited number of seats. 
7:00PM Half Moon Jewelry Design (Necklace sets start at $15.  Set contains a necklace kit with matching earrings.  Ear wires are Sterling Silver unless otherwise stated)
Come down to the Fun Factory to make your own jewelry with Half Moon Jewelry Design owner Joyce Schwartz.  She will provide the kits and guide you through the process of making your own jewelry!  Event will run from 7-8pm and is a great craft for all ages! 
7:30PM Facebook Movie Night — (FREE EVENT) Go to our Facebook  Page and vote for the movie you want to see tonight.  We will supply the popcorn.

10:00AM Snowshoe or Hike at Sabbaday Falls($5 per person or $15 snowshoe rental) 
Join Eric as we head out on the Kanc over to Sabbaday Falls.  This is a ¾ mile round trip hike up to a 3 tiered waterfall! Most of the trail is flat, except for one small hill.  Sabbaday Falls is a very scenic area with beautiful views.  If there is not enough snow we will just hike in so please wear sturdy footwear. Sturdy Boots Only Please!!!

Thursday, April 4th, 2013
10:00AM Everywhere & Nowhere Tour ($10 per person up to 13 people can fit on our Bus) Join Eric as we wander around the White Mountains.  Where we go is a mystery.  We will see some scenic vistas, historic sites, waterfalls, covered bridges and other places of interest.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the region with someone else doing the driving.  Be sure to bring your camera because sometimes we get some wildlife as a bonus. There will be a Lunch(not included in price) stop somewhere along the route

Holy Week 2013



Easter Sunrise Service at Loon Mountain


When: Sunday, March 31, 2013
Details:
Join us bright and early for our Easter Sunrise Nondenominational Service. The Gondola will be loading from 5:45am to 6:15am. The Service will run 6:30am-7:00am and then there will be refreshments in the Summit Cafe. Please keep in mind we will stop loading at exactly 6:15am so the service can start on time for sunrise. After the service you may download the Gondola or ski Bear Claw to the base area. **Please note we cannot guarantee everyone a spot at the service.

In case of inclement weather, the service will be in the Octagon Lodge at 6:00am.


There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt on Lower Bear Claw starting at 9:00am for those kids who can ski.

 For the Little Tykes there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Adventure Center starting at 9:00am.

The Octagon Lodge will be serving a Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 7:30-9:30am! Fees apply.
