Snowmobile Tours

A new tour we have started this year is guided Snowmobile Tours. They have turned out to be a great success. They have been such a success that we offer them 2 days a week. We go on Tuesday at 1:00PM and again on Thursday at 9:00AM. If you are interested in going on this trip, please contact me as I can sign you up in advance. If our scheduled days do not fit into your schedule, I am able to get you out when it is convenient for you, just shoot me an email or give me a call.

The tours cover approx 20 miles and last about 2-2.5 hours. This tour is an excellent opportunity for someone who has wanted to snowmobile but didn't feel comfortable. We go in a group setting and the guides never go faster than you are comfortable with. The company that we use provides Helmets, Snow Suits, and Boots. You can go out as either a single sled or a double sled.
We start out with a couple of road crossings and within minutes we are off on the trail heading up to Bog Pond. Along the way after about 4 miles we stop at a scenic over look and just enjoy the scenery or play around in the snow:

After we stop here we continue on to Bog Pond. Up here is a large open area where we get to play a little and open it up a little bit. If you have a passenger that was reluctant to drive this is the perfect place for them to try out driving the sleds on their own.
After we spend a little while up here we head back the same way, but make a turn and go out to the Power Line trail. It is this area that I found my Moose Antlers:We usually stop along the power line and look for animal (Moose) tracks in the snow. The Power Lines will also give you a great view looking back into Lincoln and at Loon Mountain/South Peak:

After following the Power Lines for a bit we head down the Half Track Trail which is a fun downhill ride. We then cruise along Corridor 14 and head back to the rental office. The trip is priced very reasonable. Please check your Moose report upon check in or call me for more details.

Snowshoe Tours & Rentals

We are currently running 3 different snowshoe tours a week, Monday, Wednesday & Saturday.

On Mondays we will go to either Lincoln Woods along the Kancamagus Highway or the Basin at Franconia Notch State Park. Both of these options offer picturesque scenery and relatively flat terrain.

On Wednesday we will go to either the Flume Gorge or Basin at Franconia Notch State Park or Sabbaday Falls which is located along the Kancamagus Highway. The Flume Gorge is probably the hardest trip that we offer as it involves uphill and down hill climbing and covers approx 2.5 miles. Here are some pictures of the scenery inside the Flume. If you have been here in the Summer, it is a completely different experience in the Winter as the Rock Walls are covered with ice, and is a popular place for Ice Climbing as is seen in the picture below..
If you have been here in the Summer there is a Boardwalk that you walk along, well in Winter you can only go so far until you reach the end of the line:
Here are 2 other pictures from the Flume Gorge:
